You drill through the tile and insert a plastic molly on each end.
Attach vanity to tile wall.
Use a piece of cardstock or cardboard and trim it down so it conforms to the shape of the tile.
Remove the vanity cabinet and set it aside.
Open the doors and look at the rail near the top of the vanity on the back.
Tap the wall plugs into the wall if required so that they are flush with the surface of the wall.
You ll attach the new vanity the same way.
Don t just yank the vanity off the wall.
So i cut out the panels using circ saw with plywood blade and placed panels upside down.
On the main panels will be metal for the magnets to attach to.
You insert the screws through the back rail into the mollies and screw them snug to the wall.
Then trace it onto the foot of the vanity and cut it with a jigsaw.
Using the electric drill drill the holes into the wall where you have previously marked it.
Next bore the holes.
I don t see any problem putting the vanity over the bare wall if the ugly isn t showing.
Using a felt tip pen and a level mark the exact position of the mounting holes on the tape and double check the position of whatever you re mounting by holding it in place.
Place the vanity against the wall and use screws to secure the unit in place.
Use prefinished molding and permanently attach about 1 2 of its width to the rectangle that i cut out like a picture box and to drill hole in the back of exposed molding that will hold a magnet.
Mounting the vanity unit.
You need to cut a horizontal hole exactly the same size as your piece of wood at the height of the clips on the back of the vanity you will need to figure that height out yourself it will depend on the exact model of your vanity and how high you want the top of your vanity to be.
